"School days, school days - dear old, good old golden rule days" is the hymn my grandmother sang to me - The classroom setting has changed in the decade + since primary / secondary school. I've listened and witnessed to much of that change first hand, in the news or through various, other outlets.
We've questioned the environment plenty however, my question is an endearing one: How does the "chameleon" educator do it? Teachers/ faculty / staff carry a weight so immeasurable. It takes an individual of many talents and attributes to exemplify a "good" teacher.
Like the chameleon who can change and adapt, good teachers are gifted in being safe- zones, nurturers and provide us some of the most pivotal learning moments.
I ask as the proud son of a Union educator and friend to many more - that you continually exemplify grace and patience as the education system continually goes through the cycle of loss and triumph. Let us celebrate all who woke up today and chose to educate you.
